Meet our Management Team

Since its beginnings, JKL has employed engineering professionals that seek to achieve excellence and industry leadership on all projects. Our Senior Management team contains experienced and diverse engineering leaders that focus on clients’ needs for responsiveness, personal service, innovation and upholding of the highest quality standards.

Cedrick Johnson, PE
Co-Founder & President

As co-founder and President of JKL, Cedrick has spent nearly three (3) decades designing and managing a multitude of airport improvement projects throughout the eastern U.S. Cedrick is well versed in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Design Standards and implementation of complex airfield construction in the airport operating environment. His leadership promotes excellence on all projects, and he implements a strong team approach in collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project success. He has successfully led the integration of some of the most complex airfield projects on the east coast at several medium and large hub airports. Cedrick’s expertise includes airfield and terminal design, construction phasing, construction management, and airfield, landside, and terminal planning.

Mahesh Kukata, PE
Co-Founder & Vice President

Mahesh, a co-founder and Vice-President of JKL, brings expert, personalized service to all of his clients, and provides effective management of the projects he oversees. With close to three (3) decades of aviation industry experience, Mahesh has led many of ADCI’s contracts providing design engineering services for airfield, landside, and airport facility improvement projects. Mahesh has an extensive project list that includes large and regional hub, as well as general aviation airports in the eastern United States. Mahesh’s expertise includes airfield, terminal, and landside planning, design, cost estimating, andconstruction management and inspection.

Stephen Lucchesi, PE
Senior Consultant & Secretary

A founding member of JKL, Steve is an aviation industry leader. He brings over four (4) decades of airport planning, design, construction, Program Management, and QA/QC experience to clients and project teams. Steve serves as Senior Consultant on projects in our Project Engineering, Program Management, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control teams. In his previous role as Program Management (PM) Principal-in-Charge, Steve utilized his expertise and knowledge of the airport industry to successfully contribute innovative solutions to complex challenges at many of the largest airports in the eastern United States.  Steve combines his broad industry expertise, his “big picture” perspective, and his attention to detail to bring successful project completions to all of his clients.

Keith Fritz, PE
Senior Civil Engineer

Keith’s career focus has been on airport planning, design, and construction management. With over 25 years of airport engineering experience, he has worked on over 300 varied airfield projects throughout his career. As a founding member of JKL, Keith brings his design expertise to airfield infrastructure improvement projects, transforming older airports into modern facilities and minimizing operational impacts during construction. He currently serves as Senior Civil Engineer on most of the major projects within JKL’s workload and is considered an industry leader in airfield design.

Education: B.S. Civil Engineering, Bucknell University

Joe Wenck
CADD Manager

Joe has nearly three (3) decades of experience that covers the full range of design software applications for airfield, terminal and landside projects at airports ranging from general aviation facilities to large international hubs. As a founding member of the firm, Joe brings a combination of technical proficiency in aircraft simulation, creative problem solving, dedication to quality, and client-focused solutions to every project. He currently serves as ADCI’s CADD manager on all project efforts.

Greg Fredrickson, PE
Practice Manager

Greg brings three (3) decades of experience in the aviation industry designing, managing, and fostering relationships at all levels. As a Practice Leader, Greg’s role is broad yet flexible as it includes three distinct responsibilities: Business Development, Task Management, and Mentoring. Greg’s has worked at various large hub airports across the country. His diverse experience and knowledge in airfield and airport design allows him to jump into any challenge or project and provide Senior Leadership and support as required.

Andrea Luft, ENV SP, CCM
Project Manager

Andrea is serving as the on-site manager for implementing on-call tasks at Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP). Over the last two (2) decades, she has managed complex facility and operational challenges in her assignments in the New York area and has brought her expertise in surface and air transportation planning, design, and construction management to the Project Task Leader’s team. Andrea is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers and Construction Management Association of America.

Education: B.S. Applied Physics, Binghamton University

Chuck Dennie, PE, LC, LEED AP
Electrical Practice Manager

As JKL’s Electrical Practice Leader, Chuck manages and provides electrical design and construction phase services for navigational aids, airfield ground lighting, and high, medium, and low voltage power distribution systems. With nearly two (2) decades of experience, Chuck has extensive knowledge and will be expanding JKL’s Electrical Practice. Chuck is an active member in the engineering community and is a member of ISEALC, AAAE, and WTS-Philadelphia Chapter.
